Steven Covey died, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, July 16, 2012.
His obituary observed: “Mr. Covey urged people to consider how they would like to be remembered. ‘If you carefully consider what you want to be said of you in the funeral experience’, he said, ‘you will find your definition of success.’” [1]
Here is his list of the seven habits of highly effective people.
- Be proactive.
- Begin with the end in mind.
- Put first things first
- Think “win-win”
- Seek first to understand, then to be understood
- Synergize
- Sharpen the saw: that is, undergo frequent self-renewal.
What is your definition of “success”?
