Idaho Town Meeting – How is Idaho Responding to its Aging Population?

By: Susan M. Graham, Certified Elder Law Attorney, Senior Edge Legal, Boise, Idaho

AARP will host a virtual town meeting with Lt. Governor Brad Little on Friday, December 12, from 11 a.m. to noon Mountain Time.   “Little will address topics such as the health insurance marketplace, consumer protections, Medicaid expansion and the need to provide resources for the increasing number of Idahoans who are aging at home and their families.”[1]

If you want to participate, add your phone number to a list of numbers to be automatically called on December 12 by sending an email to [email protected].   You can also dial 877-229-8493 toll-free a few minutes before the call starts and enter code 17642.

It should be interesting to learn about some policy positions considered by Idaho to address the potential issues of concern created by the growing aging population in this state.
