Last month an enraged son called and threatened us. We prepared a Will for his mother. She just died and left him nothing. What would we do if he showed up in our office and was still angry and volatile?
We did not have an answer – we had no emergency plan in place. Now we do!
One great resource for us was our local police department.
We have implemented their common sense suggestions at a modest cost. The best benefit for us is greater peace of mind.
The Boise Police Crime Prevention Unit offers a unique service. If you are concerned about the security of your home, call the Crime Prevention Unit at 208-570-6070 and set up an appointment to have a security assessment of your home at no charge. A crime prevention representative will meet with you at your home and offer suggestions to assist you in protecting your home against burglary and intrusion. If you live in an area other than Boise, contact your local police or sheriff’s department for help.

The beginning of a new year is a good time to think about safety and security for you, your family and your home. Take a few moments to review your own emergency plan and if you don’t have one, act now.
